Jeremy Gerard (Chief recording engineer) is a multi-GRAMMY nominated audio engineer that has been recording and producing singers and musicians for over 25 years. He has recorded and produced music for TV (National Geographic, HBO, Lifetime network, etc.), film (Lions Gate Films), and radio (NPR, APM, Performance Today) with some of the biggest names in the music industry. Jeremy has worked with thousands of singers from around the globe and is consistently one of the most sought after engineers in the world for the recording of opera singers. He has recorded countless operatic stars such as Elizabeth Futral, Lauren Flanigan, Amy Burton, Mary Dunleavy, Brian Mulligan and Elizabeth Blancke-Biggs to name a few. Jeremy has also recorded songs for many of today's most prominent composers including Mark Adamo, Jake Heggie, Ricky Ian Gordon, Howard Shore (3 time Academy Award winner, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Silence of the Lambs, etc.), John Musto, Michael Torke and Fernando Otero. Endorsed by the industry's leading professionals, Gerard's vast knowledge of the operatic repertoire and the business of singing makes singers feel very comfortable during the recording process. Jeremy holds a B. Mus. and an M.M. in vocal performance from Washington University in St. Louis. With years of performing credentials and over 25 years of engineering experience you can be assured a productive and rewarding recording experience.
Marc A. Scorca Hall is an acoustically excellent space specifically designed for the operatic voice. The hall was designed by Andrew Berman Architect and acoustics were designed by Robert F. Mahoney & Associates. The hall is a completely floating structure with non-parallel surfaces. It measures 21.2ft x 55.3ft (1172.36 sqft) with 20 ft ceiling. It has wood flooring and ceiling, platform stage and adjustable acoustic panels to alter the "liveness" of the hall. In addition to operatic/musical theater piano and vocal recordings, the hall is perfectly suited for orchestral, choral and chamber recordings.
